Initially beginning with the body motion of positions in a library. These positions varied from a ninety-degree angle to a straight angle. Within these positions, I have incorporated the praying positions, which gave off the experience of different inclined walls circulating around the bookshelves, wrapping around a singular study carrel. Rotating the carrel was able to give four new conditions of the carrel. The first and second conditions of the carrel are individual study carrels, one being completely private while the second being semi-public. The third and fourth conditions are double study carrels, with the third condition facing away from each other, and the fourth having the carrels facing each other. The desks are adjustable, in that they may be moved upwards, so that a larger space is available.

The table in the center is a combination of six desks that are able to come together and come apart. In the center, the hexagon in the center is made to be used as a mini storage area for each desk user. The display case is formed in an angular way in order to fit into the exteriors of the bookshelves. Because it can easily be maneuvered, it can be placed in more than one specific area.

Having these four different components of a hybridized bookshelf and study carrel, I began positioning them next to one another, forming different spaces. Because a library can be a secret hideaway place to potentially gain knowledge in, the shelves are placed in such a way that creates different experiences for people in a convenient manner. Instead of one having to go around a shelf to attain a book, I have formed unique pathways that make the experience more convenient. It is set up in a way that has the different conditions of the study carrel, depending on which one according to your preference.
