When diagramming the Beinecke Rare Book Library, we looked at the relationships that occurred within each category. The first diagram explored the way the in which the library is organized; how program was divided and how those spaces overlapped. For spacial systems, the second diagram, we focused on the orientation of the spaces. In plan we looked at the outer versus the inner spaces and in section the horizontal and the vertical spaces. Looking at the next category, circulation, we mapped the main walking paths of the library and divided the library into spaces with different accessibility.

The third diagram is mapping the structural load each part of the library carries. As you move down through the plan, the more structural load the members are carrying. We then looked at the materials of the library and separated the space based on those materials. The final diagram is highlighting spaces that have different environmental conditions and how they change as someone moves about the space.
