The two diagrams above are focusing on the the age of the parks and the locations of the certified historical districts on the city scale and the age of the streets and how the newer streets break up the regular grid.
These two diagrams are focusing on the Commissioners Grid and the creation of neighborhood grids below the Grid Line. The neighborhood scale focuses on the regular grid and where the grid is broken up by the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge
The first pair of diagrams is showing the districts borders on two different scales. The three neighborhoods: Chinatown, Little Italy and Bowery, meet in this area. The borders of each vary depending on the source that was used.
The next pair of diagrams show the transportation system of the Downtown area. The site located in the neighborhood surrounded by different types of transportation and it is very easy to get to.
