Week 10 — Pavilion Progress

I started not with a specific precedent but I used the waffle typology found in a lot of pavilions and canopies. I then applied it to a simple mushroom shape in order to make a simple space for covering.

I then made the form in Revit and flexed it with the parameters of radius size and vertical spacing.
I then subdivided the exterior into a grid by which I could apply the adaptive waffle components.
The waffle components didn't work as adaptive to I made them parametric in mass editor.
That didn’t work either, so I turned to Dynamo to extract the isocurves of the subdivided surface as a way of making structure radial instead of perpendicular.
