If we had computers that knew everything there was to know about things — using data they gathered without any help from us — we would be able to track and count everything, and greatly reduce waste, loss and cost. We would know when things needed replacing, repairing or recalling, and whether they were fresh or past their best. We need to empower computers with their own means of gathering information, so they can see, hear and smell the world for themselves, in all its random glory.” This is what precisely IOT does. But before we dwell and delve into how internet of things has relatively changed everything, let us understand what it is. Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem of connected physical objects that are accessible through the internet. These things have enhanced our life, to a degree we could never imagine. Sophisticated chips are now-a-days inserted in nearly every object that we use, these are then connected with the whole system of interconnected PCs, information centers, and pretty much to the next of its kind(so called the internet). Sending and getting, important information, which enhances our standard of living and data which encourages us to see how these things work together. It’s the internet of things which unites this various data, and, gives the basic dialect and ground for the gadgets and applications to speak with each other.

These things are interconnected to such extent that it has started giving rise to different new businesses. Entrepreneurs are now coming up with new plans to utilize this aspect to a more prominent degree and enhance our life through the things we marginally never considered or thought about.

The generation now has become more concerned about health related adversities so a need to look after such concerns has also increased. One such company is the “Heapsylon” whose sole purpose is to turn your wearables into intelligent machines. They are a huge hit now because wearables are certainly a booming subsector of the IoT market. Not only do the sensors accurately track steps, speed, calories, environmental temperature and distance, but they go well beyond that to foot landing technique, center of balance and weight distribution on the foot as you walk and run.

IoT as a concept in INDIA looks very promising because of the development of Smart cities project in India. Also the government has been focusing, supporting and making the efforts for developing better infrastructure. apart from this IoT progress could prove to be impressive on a large scale, with more advanced research and resources. Enterprises are adopting Internet of Things (IoT) as a key element of their digital transformation strategy.

As far as IOT’s future is concerned it will surely go a long way with being able to connect to different types of devices .In future nearly everything and every device in daily life will have a connected application. IoT will lead to increased awareness about environmental and social issues and have more access to new techniques and solutions for education, environmental hazards and education. From climate change to disease prevention, from smart parking to traffic management all answers will lie in the IoT and we will find a better way to deal with it. Harnessing more sensors, more data, and more power to change the way you work and the value you provide : this is what IOT is all about.
