The Pursuit of Happiness

What is happiness? We seem to spend our lives chasing it, yet it’s so hard to define.

I often find myself thinking; ‘I’ll be happier when X happens’, ‘when Y & Z fall into place, then I’ll be happy’ or ‘if I achieve X, Y & Z, I’ll be happy’. But with thinking like that is it possible that my entire life could pass by in the pursuit of happiness?

Happiness should be now, the moment we live in. Now is the only reality, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

Dream of the future. Plan, of course. But we shouldn’t spend our whole life chasing a happiness that exists outside of this moment.

Enjoy life; be reckless, love, laugh and live for now.
