platau | platform for architecture and urbanism is a practice that focuses on architecture and design, from large-scale planning to installations. platau is fueled by a multidisciplinary approach that is creative in its ambition and structured in its process.
Starting as spontaneous collaborations since 2010, the work of platau has focused on architecture as a medium that allows new ways of inhabitation, encouraging the interaction between usage, context, materiality and form to shape the design logics and outcomes of each project.
Through various collaborations with municipalities and organizations, platau initiated several projects in strategic planning, research and design; which emphasize a holistic approach to cities, in particular the way they integrate people, economy, ecology, infrastructural and natural systems in their expanded territory.
Through participatory workshops and public talks, the office use design research to engage communities and municipalities, and reinvent how public spaces and cities are accessed, perceived and experienced.
