I was talking to one of our clients just the other day about the importance of a mudroom near the entryway… Every home needs a place to discard muddy shoes or drop bookbags or hang up jackets, scarves, hats, and gloves… And also a place that welcomes you and your guests into your home. Well, you know how the saying goes:“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.”

A modern mudroom can be anything from simple cubbies for organizing stuff, to built-in cabinets for hiding it away, to an entire room devoted to taking mud and clutter out of the entryway. Check out our inspiration for modern mudrooms below — Even in a small entryway, a little organization and thoughtful design goes a long way!
