On May 23, 2022, ArchLoot attended an amazing live AMA in a 50k fans strong cryptominers community. During a session over 1 hour long, our CEO and CMO covered almost every spectrum of our philosophy, mindset, and professionalism, and how they affect or contribute to this project at the current stage.

Here is a recap of the entire event. Meet with our dedicated & passionate team!

Session 1

Host: Hello everyone 👋 and welcome to the Crypto Miners AMA session With ArchLoot. To help us learn more about the featured project of this AMA session, we are lucky to be joined by Jonathan and Dirk.

Jonathan:

Hi guys, I’m Jonathan, CEO of Archloot, I’m from Belgium.

Dirk:

Hi everyone! I‘m Dirk from Canada and now serve as CMO in ArchLoot.

Host: Welcome here Guys. Thanks for bringing Us ArchLoot. I’m pretty sure that our Community is very much excited to learn more about ArchLoot ✌️

Q1) Can you give a brief explanation about ‘ArchLoot’. What popped up in your mind to create such a platform in this Space?

Jonathan

To introduce our project, ArchLoot is an NFT-based UGC game on BNB Chain. We intend to integrate true playability into the GameFi industry, through fresh NFT interactions, avatar design, and also exquisite graphic & gaming mode readiness. The game provides the first interactive gameplay in the industry, which fully enables on-chain implementation of upgradeable characters/props NFTs.

We are passionate about games and crypto, but when it comes to the reality of short-living P2E projects, we are actually not satisfied with the current GameFi models offered by most of the projects- that is to say, gamification of financial actions. They build a financial system first and then incorporate a few game mechanics into it. At ArchLoot we believe that Gamefi 2.0 must first build a game and then incorporate if possible NFT/on-Chain mechanics. GameFi 2.0 will provide possibilities for long-term investment/partnership and operations of projects.

Q2) So what are your main features and advantages that discern you from other projects?

Dirk

The single most unique aspect of the game would be interactive NFTs that enable our UGC gameplay. All NFTs in the game support user-generated modifications.

This is made possible by EIP-4985 and BEP-129, self-developed protocols that were born for GameFi.

Gamers can

  • Freely assemble and recombine your avatars from a directory of NFTs
  • Change/ upgrade/ enhance the attributes and design of NFT assets during playing
  • Sell them on secondary marketplaces
  • Safe transactions and real-time metadata protection

In a word, user-add value to all in-game assets has no limits both in the game and in the marketplace. For a more technical explanation of the NFT system, you can read this section in whitepaper.

Q3) How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?

Jonathan

We are a team coming from different horizons, for I come from the traditional game industry where I led several successful projects such as Arknights, Azur Lane, Ulala:Idle Adventure, and Ragnarok Online. We have very professional talents who have experience in traditional game publishing, such as our advisor Duke, who co-founded Blockchaingame.com. It can be considered a success in 2017 as it reached a $10m net profit.

The traditional gaming industry is not so different from the GameFi industry, and so we understand all the struggles that a game from every perspective can encounter.

We dig details in gameplay, visuals, and further compatibility across devices and ecosystems. And we want to ensure gamers, no matter newcomers or old-timers, that the story & experience & biomes are in abundance. The methodology our team has is quite different from other projects, which has led to the completeness and readiness of the game and will contribute to further success.

Dirk

We are from gaming, blockchain, and finance backgrounds, with the aim of sharing knowledge and resources. I’m from the finance industry. Directed BBShares, one of the first fully-compliant crypto hedge funds in Asia, and co-founded a hedge fund (FoF).

Aside from our development team, we also have team members who are dedicated to crypto economy and community building, such as the management team that will actively monitor the in-game economy, watch the inflation, and create a healthy environment for all players.

Q4: So how long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? And what can we expect from ArchLoot? If possible could you please share a road map with us?

Jonathan

Our project was initiated at the beginning of 2021 and took shape by September. After almost 1 year of gaming mechanism development, the team began to be dedicated to on-chain technology and NFT system design in 2022 Q1. Until marketing operates officially, ArchLoot was announced publicly in April 2022.

We have been efficient in delivering milestone objectives, including game development and test schedules.

Q5: When is the ArchLoot game going to be released, and which coins will be required to play?

Jonathan

The official launch has been scheduled for 2022 Q3. You don’t need any entry ticket to access the game. Since monsters are assembled from NFTs, a set of body parts, whether free common ones or expensive rare ones, is a must.

Our native tokens will be ArchLoot Gold (ALG), the in-game currency; and the ArchLoot Token (ALT), the governance token. You can follow our official pages for the latest listing updates.

Session 2

Host: Let’s now proceed to our Twitter Questions section

Q1) Most players want to in profitable games, so how will #archlootOS be a fun Metaverse and where everyday players can make more profits, Tell us your plan to make sure the game is always profitable and keep your players’ assets safe? Is there a mechanism to fight NFT inflation?

Dirk

I’ll try to address this question. The question consists of two parts:

1. How do we contain inflation

2. How do we keep player’s assets safe

To answer 1, we always believe that fun is the most important feature of a game. A fun game will always have a solid community, which stabilizes the value of in-game assets. Moreover, although our game is free to play, it is not free to earn.

We have introduced a hunting license approach, where the player will be able to earn only if he/she possesses a hunting license. That way, by limiting the issuance of hunting licenses, we can contain the inflation. To answer 2, we use a two step-authorization method, to guarantee the safety of players’ assets.

Jonathan

I’d even add concerning the ‘fun’ part that currently the state of the GameFi industry, a lot of projects are targeting the financial aspect of it, we try to find a balance in terms of playability, fun, and earnings, we believe to actually bring something new in the industry. Similar to what is actually offered in the traditional industry, instead of having micro-transaction we will allow players to buy a hunting license to start to earn, allowing players to actually have a choice in the way they want to experience the project.

Q2) Collaborations and partnerships are some of the most important cornerstones to help improve adoption. Can you tell us about your current partners, plans for partnerships, and what everybody stands to gain from this partnership?

Dirk

We are collaborating with some of the most renowned NFT launchpads on BNB Chain to launch NFT blindbox sales, however, we are not able to disclose the exact name here. Please follow us closely on Twitter, we will be informing these partnerships shortly.

in the future, we will be collaborating with some exchanges, media partners, guilds, as well as potentially other GameFi projects.

Jonathan

About the project ‘content’ partnership we will be collaborating with exchanges, media, and guilds, in terms of project gameplay partnership // IP we are considering it but right now we can’t announce it just ye

Q3) As a gamer I would like to practice playing the game without doing any investment or buying the NFTs. Do you really have a demo, beta test, or practice mode #archloot0S to give players a free experience?

Jonathan

We just had a closed beta test these past few days which was successful. We have an actual playable product already, you may check our socials to get more information about it. In terms of investment, as we mentioned we have a hunting license in place, aside of that you may play the game for free but you won’t be able to drop NFTs’

The open beta test date will be released after we reveal our partnerships and we start our different campaigns. The game is fully playable for free of course

Q4)What is your top priority for 2022? Can you and your team members share a bit about the strategy that ArchLoot will implement in the near future? What makes the team feel confident to win in the long run?

Jonathan

I believe both I and Dirk can reply to this question. Well, in terms of top priority right now is to prepare for our blindbox sales, correct the last bugs we have discovered during the Closed Beta Test, and prepare for our Open Beta and the official launch. Aside from the product side, we also are preparing for our different marketing campaigns to attract users to the project. We are also preparing different future content updates for the project.

What makes us think that we’ll “win” in the long run.

We think that the current GameFi industry is too focused on play to earn, it should be a balance between Game and Fi, We think that we bring a more balanced aspect that allows the project to not die out after a couple of months or weeks, unlike other projects. We also are all seasoned veterans in the team, we have more than 30 team members, coming from Defi, Wallet design, the Game Industry, and pure finance.

Dirk

I can answer the second half. I think Jon said it all. Just adding a little note, our project is more community-driven. UGC is one of the key components of our success. We believe that the gameplay potentials are the intrinsic value of ArchLoot, the innovation and dedication are what define this project. We are very confident in the product we build and it’s future.

Q5) One attractive feature that ArchLoot has is the UGC feature to which I find unique. Can you explain how this became an advantage and a unique feature for ArchLoot? Can you explain how this works?

Jonathan

Sure, I’ll address it. Without entering too many details, the avatar is fully customizable with different parts from head to toe, those different parts can be obtained through different game modes within the game itself, each part can be deemed unique as it possesses stats and all parts are different, you also may change the stats of the parts similar to what is available on the game market,

You may obtain those parts in PVP, PVE, Raids, dungeons, etc. I think that it provides a lot of incentives to us and to users, you may customize your own experience in the game

Every part has its own visuals, we are also considering adding skins to it as well. You also may customize the sizes of the parts. We really emphasize avatar customization. Thanks that’s it for me, you may check more materials we provide through socials to get a better idea of what is coming up, you also may subscribe to our open beta when we will announce it, I believe it’s much better than you guys test the game by yourself.

Session 3

Host: Live questions!

Q1: Are there any Daily Mission Rewards for Gamers on ArchLoot? Can you please explain as I am new to Crypto Gaming?

Dirk

There will be daily quests that ask you to explore certain maps, do certain missions, or fight certain bosses, and there will be rewards associated with them.

Q2: Marketing is an important element for every project so that we can know the potential that a project can bring is important to achieve the goals set. What’s your strategy to attract new users and investors to this project and keep them more interested?

Jonathan

Thanks for your question, well, I can say from my side that I had been leading successful traditional games on the publishing side and I have a lot of resources and experience in that field, we have no doubt that we will succeed in our marketing campaign, we use go to market strategies originating from the game industry, I cannot really reveal what is the details of our strategy but it will obviously involve ads, KOL marketing, partnership, band partnership, online events, UGC events, in-game events, “IPs”, we actually have a soon to be released Twitter enigma event and that’s actually an exclusivity, I am not even supposed to announce it here, feel free to check in a few days, our event designer made it quite hard!

Q: Many games that will be launched today or In the coming months will take more than a year to fully develop, but it is also true that not all games will even get to that scenario, what do you have to say about this?

Jonathan

My opinion about it is that the current stage of GameFi is a ‘Free for all’, a lot of projects do not have enough experienced staff in terms of gaming as it is a relatively small industry, and projects have difficulties attracting talents from those industries to work into GameFi projects, we do not have this struggle as we have many good contacts within the game industry, we have different talents that worked on world-known IP such as Genshin impact for example,

We have already finished the game development and the product is playable already, our closed beta testers tested the product and we are close to ship a final product without bugs. We are not just talking about what could be done with the project since it is already done, what we are moving forward to now is to develop the game and the future updates.

Q: A variety of NFT games are already in service on the market and are coming soon. Will Archloot have the strength to survive in this gaming market #archlootOS?

Dirk

We are confident in our NFT gameplay. We have not seen any similar product on the market right now.

Q: In a Gaming Platform, How will new gamers as well as the old gamers have the same equal and fair chances and opportunities in a battle?

Jonathan

The game is mainly skill-based, especially in PVP, parts stats will help but it is totally possible to beat another player.
