We’re in the midst of some exciting and interesting prototyping around input systems and UI functionality for Immerse Creator.

When we get to a stopping point, we’ll post a beta build so everyone can try it out and give us feedback. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak at some of the grabbable / rotation functionality we’re looking at, along with some random meeting notes below:

Early prototyping of draggables and rotation testing

Default Configs

Grab vs index trigger for duplicating vs

Active Tool Input

  • The input problem
  • Switch to current hotbutton press parent tool (registration)

Setting Menu

  • Can expand a section for hotbars

Trash can zone to remove canvases, buttons, etc (VFX)

Fake Hand

  • Touch for press? Touch + grab

Standard grab for vive

  • Grab — most use trigger
  • Activate — touch/shove hand into it

Scale canvases, hotkey board,
