IFA Co., Ltd., in cooperation with Meiji University’s Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Information Science, will work on “R & D on data banking platform technology using blockchain and artificial intelligence’’ from January 1st to December 31st, 2020.

The Data Bank is a new business field that the Japanese government has just started to select business operators in March 2019, but in the same situation with companies known as “platformers”, the users are not sure how their data is being used. We aim to create a system that the use cases of the data provided from the users are transparent, and a fair mechanism in which the users will get compensated every time their data gets used. As a result, IFA believes that this effort will open the way for more users to provide their personal data.

Professor Takagi of Meiji University is in charge of the Web Science Laboratory (WSL) of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Meiji University, and is engaged in several research projects using big data on the web based artificial intelligence research. He has been sublimated into a state-of-the-art mechanism centered on data-driven third generation AI, deep reinforcement learning, hostile learning, etc. In the Web field, Profesor Takagi is conducting research and development to apply these mechanisms to natural language processing, high-precision recommendation engines, high-precision targeting, digital marketing, etc. Until now, he has been conducting various joint and commissioned researches with major domestic companies and industries such as US petroleum capital, and have achieved world-class results in competitive international workshops. IFA is convinced that the relationship with Professor Takagi will greatly advance the structure of our next-gen data bank.

The details are as the follows.

(1) Research theme

Research and development of data banking platform technology using blockchain and artificial intelligence.

(2) Research purpose and content

We will develop a data banking platform technology that will manage user attribute data, point aquisition, electronic money use history, etc. with blockchain technology, and apply those data to advance marketing strategies and provide accurate service proposals to users.

We as IFA, we are now keen to have a strong partnership for the realization this new world. We aim to build a system that is fair for users, and valuable for companies that utilize user data. We promise to work hard with Meiji University to open up the potential of the next-gen data bank.
