Xero to Hero: Mallika Goel Joins Performance Lab to Launch ARDA Brands
Meet Mallika, our new Marketing Manager whose background in bringing products to market and building blue chip brands is highly relevant as we prepare for the launch of ARDA’s first consumer fitness coaching app.
Mallika has over six years of global marketing and brand strategy experience. She started her career at Designworks, Australasia’s leading strategic design practice, where she worked with brands like Fonterra, The New Zealand Story and Griffin’s to help take their stories to the world. Most recently, Mallika spent three years as a product marketing specialist at Xero.
Originally from India, Mallika has lived in The Seychelles, Germany, Czech Republic, Senegal and now New Zealand. She speaks four languages (English, Hindi, German and French) and is valiantly trying to learn a fifth (Spanish). This nomadic childhood has given her a lifelong love of adventure.
To this end, she co-founded Break the Resistance, a fitness and adventure community, dedicated to inspiring people to break out of their comfort zones and try something new. The platform has helped her face some of her own fears (heights!) and meet some incredible people.
Mallika loves staying active through a mix of CrossFit, climbing and trail running and is running her first half marathon in December. Of course, she’s utilising ARDA and some coaching tips from Jon Ackland to help her reach her running goal.
The role at Performance Lab is the culmination of everything Mallika is passionate about — fitness, branding and technology. She is excited to join the team and is looking forward to the journey of launching ARDA’s apps, building a world class consumer brand … and of course, smashing some running goals along the way!
