Team Arda — Match Ready for AI Coaching Challenge!
Team Arda, Performance Lab is a talented bunch and a growing one at that — ready and energized to take on the B2C world with our Smart Training Community, as well as the B2B licensing of our AI coaching technology in the health and insurance space. We are spread over two offices: our product development hub in New Zealand and our market development hub in California, USA. Asia is another place we spend our time, networking with some of the most forward thinking blockchain communities. In this post I want to introduce our team, by taking you on a virtual tour of our office.
Science Concept Design
It makes sense to start with the department we call Science Concept Design. These guys hang out in the corner of our New Zealand office that is nearest the kitchen. That might be non-coincidental, as they eat their own dog food and are forever running or cycling on the beautiful streets and paths by the lakes and ocean we border, testing out new algorithms and device configurations. Science Concept Design deploys algorithms and AI in the service of providing personalized, timely and actionable training insight. The rest of us are really in the business of bringing that insight to customers and partners in innovative ways. Our Co-founder, Jon Ackland, heads up this team.
Development Team
If you cross the aisle you find yourself in the cluster belonging to our Development Team. It’s almost easier to list the things these guys don’t do than the things they do, which include app development, algorithm refinement and getting our coaching logic to live in the cloud to be on tap for our user base. Together with our partners at centrality.ai, our dev team is also thinking about how our existing technology stack can be enhanced and moved to a blockchain-centric world.
Product Owners
Neighboring the dev team are our Product Owners. Each product owner operates from a customer-centric perspective and guides our agile feature specification and development for their particular product. They also work closely with partners to ensure that our products meet the needs that those partners are seeing in the market.
User Insights Team
If you can’t find the product owner you’re looking for, chances are that he or she is over hanging out with our User Insights team. This team has decades of experience working with athletes from world champs to those just thinking about getting off the couch. They are now constantly monitoring our app analytics and beta testing groups to refine our current and road-mapped features. This team is led by Co-founder Kerri McMaster, who is determined that our ultimate purpose stays true to helping customers reach their health and fitness goals. Because of this perspective, Kerri also spends a lot of time meeting with the purchasers of our Arda Tokens, since this community is backing our drive to fulfill this purpose in a decentralized way.
Marketing
There’s no point having a product if you can’t sell it. Our marketing team is guided by Stuart Braxton, who brings all the wisdom and scars he’s earned over many years at Apple. Mallika Goel, our new Marketing Manager, will be communicating the Arda story and making our products famous. Also among this team is Gina Couper, who has been leading our outreach to the crypto community.
Finance, Legal & Operations
Rounding out this Auckland-based squad is — me. As well as running the Performance Lab finance, dev-ops and operations team, I look after the New Zealand operation and ensure we are achieving real-world results. No rest for the wicked!
Strategy & Business Development
To meet the rest of the team you need to cross the Pacific Ocean. In Silicon Valley we have our CEO Waynne Dartnall and our Market Development and Partnerships Team. You’ll hear more about them very soon in future posts, as that team is a crucial part of bringing our technology out of New Zealand and into the world.
I am really proud of the diverse array of skills and perspectives that come together in Team Arda. We are investing plenty of energy and smarts into everything we do to meet the vision that our thousands of stakeholders tell us they believe in.
