It was announced last night that Augustines‘ much-anticipated gig at Brixton’s O2 Academy has changed venues and will now take place at the O2 Forum Kentish Town.
In an email to ticket holders, See Tickets said that tickets for the Brixton gig would be valid at the new venue, with refunds being offered for returned tickets providing that all requests for refunds are submitted no later than October 14th 2016.
The news was received with mixed emotions by Augustines fans, who had been looking forward to seeing the band fulfil what lead singer William McCarthy has called a lifelong dream. In recent weeks some fans had been running a campaign to get the Brixton gig sold out, and presumably they will now turn their attention to doing the same for Kentish Town.
Although there was disappointment, there was also hope, with some fans noting that the more intimate Forum will be packed to the rafters with fans who have come to sing their hearts out with the band one last time.
Tickets for Augustines, supported by Fatherson, at the O2 Forum Kentish Town are available at See Tickets.
