Addressing The Silence Around Your Anger.
People who wouldn’t stop talking about politics are now very quiet. What gives?
I hear this complaint several times a day now: People who used to talk about politics a lot are now deathly silent.
I’ve seen this — It’s always the people who, at some point, wouldn’t stop talking about conspiracies and the government. Now, nada. Zip. Zilch.
As we struggle with the news, with anger, with anxiety, and work on not letting it overrun our lives, there’s a segment of people who, seemingly overnight, went from being consumed with the news from not wanting to talk about it.
One thing I know for sure: Those people are NOT okay. They might put on a show for us, the people who are rightly frustrated…but they are absolutely not okay.
We notice the flip. People who have spent years in therapy, in examining our own behavior, in managing our own anxiety…We notice it. But someone who has not been working on themselves won’t. This is the bizarre part. It’s very obvious to us that these now-silent people are super not okay.
I follow Cult College on YouTube, and she seems to think that people who are quiet around obvious Democrats are afraid that leftists will “attack” them. There’s this idea floating around in…
