Mourning Those Who Aren’t Dead, But Were Transformed By Fox
A man I looked up to greatly voted for Trump in 2016…he didn’t have the chance to do so in 2024, because he died of Covid in 2020.
My memory of this man is relatively intact. He would pray for people he saw on the news, people he didn’t even know. He always brought treats and pastries for everyone, no matter where he went. He loved parks, nature, and feeding ducks. He was religious, but still believed in vaccines…because God made doctors and scientists to help us.
I didn’t have to see Trump and Fox completely erode his brain. I suppose, in a strange way, I’m one of the lucky ones.
Still, there are others I know and mourn…because their stances on even simple issues like vaccines and national parks seem to have completely flipped.
The people trying to protect your babies and trees are the bad guys now?
There’s a TikTok trend putting our mourning on display. It’s not anger. It’s just sadness at losing someone you love, but they’re still alive. It’s strange because they are still there, but have transformed into an angry, paranoid person that you cannot recognize or reason with.
