The Covid pandemic opened our eyes to many new things.

One emerging trend since covid is the need to escape and be free and avoid lockdowns and mandates.

For many, RV life was a way to escape the COVID chaos.

The camping community is no longer comprised of senior citizens and baby boomers. Instead, the fastest-growing segment of new campers is Gen Zers and Millennials. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, more people than ever have been hitting the open road to head out on camping and RV vacations.

People are exploring camping as a way of life compared to just a weekend getaway. With the increase in remote work and maybe even higher living costs, more individuals are becoming full-time RVers.

New Accommodations in RVs

RV manufacturers are adapting to the new needs of RVers.

  1. Digital Nomads & Homeschooling — As the digital nomad lifestyle becomes more popular, remote workers will continue to transform into a new era of digital nomads taking their work with them on the road. In 2022, many more people will be hitting the road in RVs with their laptops, working from anywhere and everywhere they want. Built-in desks are almost standard.

As more office jobs continue to function on a fully remote basis, we can expect to see even more manufacturers looking to capitalize on the “work from anywhere” trend in their designs.

2. Not Your Family’s Old Camper

RVs are being made to accommodate families of all sizes. Manufacturers continue investing in new and innovative designs and technologies that will make RVing more comfortable, efficient, and fun.

King-sized beds, big bunk rooms with hefty weight limits, and pet-friendly features — RV manufacturers are offering more options than ever before to make their rigs comfortable for everyone at the campground.

3. Multi-Functional

RV designers are finding new ways to add increased function and storage to their rigs. Storage under beds, a drop-down, queen-sized bed in the living room, lofts, and making every square inch functional.

Add to the list trending in RVs: solar power, enhanced towing safety features, off-grid capabilities (boondocking), outdoor kitchens, and hauling capabilities, and you can see why it is a lifestyle choice for so many.

Many online blogs and groups offer suggestions, solutions to RV problems, traveling with kids or pets, best places to camp & places to avoid.

Cheers to the great outdoors.
