Bringing People Together Through Food: The Story Behind Recipe Rendezvous
To me, starting Recipe Rendezvous was simple: create a forum where food and relationships would prosper. It would differ from those other impersonal recipes online, which allow people to share meals with the most vital individuals in their lives-family and friends. Food, to me, has always brought people together, and this startup personifies that sense of community.
Why Recipe Rendezvous?
With so many anonymous recipes in the world, I wanted a place where people could share with a friend or loved one an actual family recipe. Imagine getting your grandmother’s favorite pie recipe right from her, or that famous lasagna from your best friend. Food is one of those very few things that can actually transcend borders and create lasting memories.
It was not an easy journey. For the last three months, it has been all about planning, building, and refining to make this platform, more than a recipe website, a food lovers’ community. My startup is a carrier of today’s entrepreneurial spirit in building something from scratch with the mission of enriching people’s lives.
