Two big updates at Argent
We started Argent to build the safest and simplest way to access the next era of the internet — the decentralised web.
I’m extremely proud of what the team has achieved since then, building the first Smart Wallet for Ethereum and winning the inaugural UX prize at Devcon.
Some other highlights include:
- Bringing you technical innovations such as universal login and meta-transactions (to make using Dapps much easier)
- Building Guardians, so you can recover and protect your wallet
- Giving every user free transactions and a free ENS
- Designing Argent’s smart contract architecture to be modular and upgradeable so that Argent is super adaptable in the years ahead
On top of this, I’m excited today to share two big developments that will help us move faster towards our vision:
The Argent waiting list is now live on iOS and Android

We’re announcing our seed round
We knew when we started that our vision required the best engineers we could dream of, as well as outstanding advisors. We’re therefore delighted to announce our $4m seed round from an amazing group of investors that share our vision of a new and better internet.
The round has been led by Index Ventures and Creandum, with further backing from firstminute, Hummingbird, KR1, Proxy, and some great angel investors.
From Spotify to Dropbox, this group has helped startups reshape industries and redefine how consumers use technology. It’s a privilege to have their support.
