The third quarter of each year is a time of many events in the blockchain industry. Although technology itself offers many advantages, some of the events also have socioeconomic and political significance. Last week, part of the Ari10 team participated in the Floating Man Liberland festival.
For all libertarian enthusiasts — Floating Man is a must-see on the global events calendar. Every year, the micronation Liberland, becomes the global capital of freedom for a few days, bringing together cryptocurrency fans and privacy enthusiasts from dozens of countries in one place.

How does the Floating Man Festival work? 🗂️
📅 When? From 11th August to 14th August 2022.
🤔 In a nutshell. It’s a libertarian event. And for us? — An unusual combination of technological expertise and relaxation in one. There, people seeking their own path to freedom can receive information about technological tools while relaxing in the pleasant surroundings of nature.
The Floating Man Festival is a multidimensional event. Presentations and debates on cryptocurrencies, NFT or blockchain technology are only one side of the coin. A seamless blend of engaging content and nature-lovers’ music concerts makes this an unforgettable outdoor experience.
📍 Where? ARK Liberland Village: a rural area, surrounded by forests and fields of natural reserve “Bačko Podunavlje”, located on the east bank of the Danube River, near Apatin — Serbia.

What was happening at the festival? 🎉
The three days spent at the festival gave us a lot of exclusive information. From the topic of the Liberland republic concept itself, to tips on the use of cryptocurrencies as part of the global adoption of blockchain technology. This is unique knowledge that will allow Ari10 to grow even faster in line with current trends.
During our stay at ARK Liberland Village, we definitely focused on networking. There was no end to conversations and debates about the current global situation. There is no doubt that we will take precise action and build an even greater competitive advantage using the knowledge gained during the presentations given by the extraordinary speakers (more on this in the next sections of the text).
Work and passion for cryptocurrencies are not the only things that keep man alive. For balance and a “clear” mind, we found some time for entertainment. Between presentations and networking we recharged our “batteries” to the rhythm of music. Wonderful evening concerts with atmospheric vibes, featuring bands such as The Nipple People (electropop), Gift Novi Sad (rock) and Del Arno Band (Serbian reggae) made our fast passing moments there more enjoyable.

Besides the colorful landscapes and the scent of nature, there were also numerous attractions for water sports enthusiasts at the festival. The mornings and afternoons were often filled with biking, canoeing and stand-up paddling. Certainly, it kept our bodies energized as a complement to the presentations.
In truth, there were many reasons to visit ARK in person (and it’s not just for technology geeks). However, for those who did not have such an opportunity — the entire Floating Man event was connected to the Metaverse space, so participants could join us in virtual reality as well.
Who were the participants? 🫂
Most of the participants were Liberland citizens, along with other privacy enthusiasts from around the world. There, we met exceptional people and specialists in the fields of finance and technology in the perspective of liberty. It was not a massive event, rather qualitative and substantive.
Many people came for the music itself. However, when they left — they emphasized that they were positively surprised not only by the concerts, but by the whole event. Fresh values and a different view of the world around us came into their heads after the Floating Man Festival.
We had representatives from all over the world in ARK, starting from South and North America (eg. USA, Canada) to Africa or Asia. The European part of the world was represented by, among others: British, Germans, French, Swiss, Italians, Czechs, Slovaks, Serbs or Poles. During the event, we also met people from Mauritius.
Among the large group of libertarians, you could meet real stars as well. Do you know Drew Binsky? He is a blogger-traveler and famous youtuber in one, known almost throughout the world. His videos have already reached more than 2.1 billion views! As you may have guessed - Drew also attended the event!
What international stars performed on the Floating Man Festival stage? 🎤
During the Liberland event, there were many experienced speakers. Here are 7 of them with the most impressive speeches:
- Lawrence Reed (“Larry” ): a president emeritus of the Foundation for Economic Education, Humphreys Family Senior Fellow, Ron Manners Global Ambassador for Liberty. He talked about the importance of sovereignty, freedom, inflation and financial systems.
- Jason Miller: the CEO of Gettr. & Karthik Iyer: one of the earliest Bitcoin adopters, he was there, trading BTC at Mt. Gox in Satoshi times! The man, the legend, the Crypto Geek.
- Kirsten Pomales Langenbrunner, founder and stakeholder strategist, actively working in the blockchain industry. A passionate entrepreneur and educator who talked about a newly launched project, TalentLayer (an interoperable infrastructure layer for freelance marketplaces).
- Dimitri Dima Antoniades: entrepreneur, bitcoin believer, tech-savvy, guard of privacy and freedom, founder of Crypto Paradise Consulting. Ambassador of Liberland in Mauritius.
- Marianna Sádecká: a member of the Parallel Polis (‘parallel city’, a CZ project combining art, social sciences, and modern technology/blockchain) & a co-founder of the Slovak Students for Liberty.
- Samuela Davidova: world-known as “Remote Girl”, a Liberland representative in Georgia.
- Peter Young: the managing director of the Free Private Cities Foundation. He was covering politics and governance.
There were also a bunch of people specializing in NFTs and advanced blockchain solutions, tech and privacy. So we got some valuable inspiration for our projects as well.
Liberland micronation: 3 interesting facts 🤓
- There are zero citizens living on the territory of Liberland, which has an area of 7 square kilometers. Yet, Liberland’s founders claim, despite this statistic, that Liberland meets all the criteria for subjectivity in international law — as confirmed by lawyers. Interestingly, the micronation’s president himself — Czech politician Vit Jedlicka — has not been able to get to the island since 2016, because Croatian police catch everyone who wants to come there!
- Liberland has its native token (LLM) built on top of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and is planning to launch an extra one (LLD) that will serve the community as voting/citizens power + transitions & wealth.
- Liberland is the first country to create its constitution along with a blockchain-based governance platform — Liberland Smart Chain. It is worth mentioning that Liberland’s constitution was discussed for 2 days at the Floating Man Festival.
