Easy Agile Roadmaps 3

We’ve heard from many agile teams that the work in an epic isn’t always completed in one go.

On top of that, teams that use epics to represent a customer activity (on a story map, for instance) don’t plan to ever ‘complete’ an epic as they are continuously improving that aspect of the product.

Because of this, Product Managers using Jira Software told us that they were having to do one of two things;

  1. Drag an Epic across a prolonged period of time on the roadmap, knowing they would work on it intermittently (which didn’t reflect how they really worked), or
  2. Create and schedule multiple epics for the same chunk of work, and shuffle issues from one to another (neither efficient or agile)

We didn’t like either of these approaches, so we’ve added the ability to schedule a single epic multiple times on the roadmap, more closely reflecting how agile teams really work!

Duplicate an existing epic on the roadmap to reflect how the team actually works.

Simply hold the alt key and drag to split the Epic visually (all Issues will still live under the one Epic).

You can now schedule an epic multiple times, in multiple themes, allowing you to create and maintain much larger roadmaps. Whilst retaining all data safely within your Jira instance, Easy Agile Roadmaps 3 now allows you to clearly and more accurately communicate with stakeholders.

Thank you to everyone who provided support and guidance on this release, it is greatly appreciated!
