ARK’s Newest Full-Time Developer
ARK is always on the lookout for talented individuals who show focus and dedication to innovative blockchain projects like ARK. Earlier this month, we announced the hiring of Juan Martín, a new full-time, full-stack developer who has already made a huge impact on our development cycle. Today the ARK team is pleased to announce that we have hired ANOTHER new full-time developer for the month of November!
Alex Barnsley is a 27 year old senior full stack developer from the United Kingdom and has shown great programming ability and enthusiasm via his contributions to our Github bounty program. Not only that, but he is active in the community and has provided valuable technical guidance to aid in the onboarding of new community developers, something we can never have enough of and we appreciate deeply.
Alex is an enthusiastic, committed person who loves to learn and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty on the projects he chooses to get involved with. He loves developing and having the ability to create something from scratch out of any number of languages. One of his strengths is being a quick learner. Whether it is learning a new language or a complicated product/system, he can quickly grasp the inner workings and is immediately able to contribute.
His resume shows a vast knowledge in a variety of different skills, programming languages, and frameworks. The following are just a few examples of his programming strengths: Javascript, NodeJS, jQuery, PhoneGap/Cordova, Angular, PHP, Symfony2, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LAMP, Bash/CLI, Regex, C# /.net, Python, Perl, Asterisk (PBX), …
With that, we proudly welcome Alex to the ARK family and couldn’t be more excited to add him to our already stellar development team!
Want to become part of the ARK development team?
We have different kinds of approaches when hiring developers (as you could see in the past few months). We encourage everyone who would like to become full-time with ARK to start contributing Pull Requests (PRs) on our GitHub repo as code, willingness to get involved and enthusiasm speaks louder than CV (at least for us).
Currently we are on a lookout for back-end developers (hint: contribute or start getting to know ARK’s core here) https://github.com/ArkEcosystem/ark-node
