Consensus 2018 and into the future
With over 8500 attendees (up from 2800 in 2017), it’s safe to say, Consensus 2018 was a massive hit and is by far one of the biggest events in the industry. This years event was full of excitement and innovative solutions that show not only is blockchain here to stay, but it’s about to take the world by storm.
ARK itself had a huge presence at Consensus this year. It was impossible to look in any direction without seeing something ARK related. ARK banners, ARK columns, ARK wall wraps, ARK elevators and even ARK escalators dominated the show. We received a lot of praise and positive feedback at Consensus regarding our presence and overall marketing efforts and for ARK, the event was a huge success.
We successfully handed out 1,000 ARK branded swag bags to attendees, which included a custom branded set of Bluetooth earphones, a water bottle, a phone charger, mouse pad and more. We also handed out 1,000 ARK branded t-shirts and saw many wearing them proudly around the event. Oh, and did we mention the stickers? Lots and lots of stickers!
Our team had an amazing time interacting and educating for 3 full days, interacting and speaking with thousands of people.
During the entire 3 day event we also had a private room with ongoing presentations covering projects such as Persona and Blockport, with crypto marketing presented by Jeremy Epstein, general presentations with ARK Co-Founder Dr. Scott McPherson and ARK technical breakdowns by our lead developer François-Xavier Thoorens.
Another amazing experience was meeting with multiple ARK delegates. We had a lot of constructive and technical discussions with them. One of the delegates (biz_classic) even brought a physical ARK faucet for giving away free ARK via the mobile wallet or scanning a QR paper wallet if attendees didn’t have the ARK mobile app installed.
It was quite impressive, and the public absolutely loved the concept. We truly want to thank all of the delegates that attended and helped out.
Now that this event has concluded we can focus on the future. The next few months will be very exciting for ARK as we are nearing the release of our rewritten core code. Although it seems all the focus is on the new core code, things aren’t stopping there. There are also new exchange listings on the way, new wallet features planned, new events and much more. 2018 will be a very exciting time for ARK.
