Meet Owen — IT Support Division Leader
What is your role at Arkafort?
I am currently Arkafort’s division leader of the IT Support team. I started with the company in mid-2018 as an IT Support agent, assisting our clientele with their day-to-day needs, remotely or on-site. During this period, I managed to gather enough experience in building a strong relationship with our clients and suppliers, which in my new role, aids me in delegating the team to make sure that as we are growing, the same level of attention to detail and efficiency in our work will be sustained no matter what.
What is the most engaging part of your work? Why?
We aspire in expanding by welcoming new ventures through new clients from all industries. My job aims to tackle any sort of escalated matter and handling technical communication with potential clients to ensure that from first contact, our bespoke support is always offered. I find this part to be the most engaging.
As we keep encountering new individuals who share the same motivation of success and assisting each other in this venture, we manage to achieve new levels, which up until a few years back would have just been considered as just ambitious.
How would you describe your experience at Arkafort so far?
It is definitely a positive one! Since the beginning of my career, I sought opportunities to not just work for a salary but to also aid me in personal growth and increasing my level of expertise which would in turn boost my motivation. This way, my contribution to the company would be always at its best, as I am personally invested in the success and expansion of its frontiers.
What does it entail to manage the IT Support team?
The team coordinates and monitors all that happens in the IT Support section, whilst also providing technical direction and work-related advice to all those under my supervision so as to ensure that we are all working together as a team. This gives a peace of mind for whoever is aspiring in investing in IT solutions to enhance and/or simplify their day-to-day tasks for their business. Apart from just troubleshooting, we constantly monitor, perform regular updates and schedule preventive maintenance on our services to ensure a proactive approach.
What do you prioritise and value most as a team?
As the saying goes, charity starts at home. What I mean is that in order to provide the desirable external support to our clients, we need to ensure that the synergy and integrity of the team is always at its peak. This would then reflect the output in our services.
Working with Arkafort up until now has granted me the experience to understand what is required to be able to work under pressure to resolve certain time sensitive issues which clients may need to be tackled immediately. I try to ensure that the team is always equipped in hardware and also knowledge to maintain a consistent momentum in our work.
What, do you feel, is most challenging in your work. And why?
It is both challenging but equally rewarding to achieve solutions for projects and handling issues which to others would just seem to be too far-fetched. With our signature solutions, we encompass the client’s needs and provide the most productive solutions in the least possible interaction and resources required. We aim to insulate our clients’ hardships and just provide them with their desired end-result.
What’s next?
The present life has shown us that nothing is to be taken for granted and one needs to be prepared for any type of situation, however, it also made us realise us that as a company, we are running on a solid foundation. Not only did we pull through during this difficult time, but we managed to expand our horizons and offer an innovational complete B2B solution via our Cloud Portal and Store. I really look forward to what the future holds for us as a company and will keep using this experience as a drive to contribute my best efforts.
