Managed digital collectibles from the Arkane inventory.
What is a digital collectible?
Cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum and Bitcoin, are designed to be fungible in nature. Each token is identical, interchangeable, and to hold the same unit of value.
Unlike cryptocurrencies a digital collectible is designed to be distinguished or unique. They cannot be divided, and represent one unique asset in its entirety. Scarcity is what makes a collectible worth its value. In order to do so, digital collectibles are created, identified, and transferred, as a unique token. These are called non-fungible tokens or NFT’s, and it is this protocol that was established with the ERC721 standard on Ethereum.
The Arkane inventory is a new section in the Arkane wallet allowing users to manage their digital collectibles in a user-friendly way.
When browsing the inventory users get a full overview of each item they possess and are able to use a quick filter to drill down to the collection they are looking for.
Selecting an item provides more detailed information and offers the ability to transfer the item to a different Arkane wallet or any address the user may desire. It is important to note that digital items can also be sent to an email address, as seen in the screenshot above.
