How to Create Content Plan for your Social Media Accounts?

➤ Why it is needed?
A clear content plan will save your time and give you the ideas on writing posts. You will find the topics to highlight, which of them can be divided into pieces and considered on another hand. Also, it’s useful if you work in a team. A common content plan will allow you to avoid confusions and misunderstandings.

➤ What does the content plan include?
Think about your area of expertise and make a focus on the things you are intended to share with your followers on your page. To successfully manage and develop your account, it is necessary to keep in mind the main principle — “Teach & Entertain”. Inform people about something that will distract them, make them smile, break out of everyday life and probably think.
Fun activities can also be different. You shouldn’t give complex information to your reader. If the person is not skilled enough, it is quite difficult for him or her to perceive something solidly written in the contemporary era of the immediate information transfer. It is relevant to provide short pieces of educational content that would not overload the reader but simultaneously, help him or her to develop.

Content plan is an individual option and it should be created at a chosen period of time.
You can use Google sheets to create your plan and edit them when necessary. Defining time for publications, keep in mind your audience and subjects of your posts. In general, making two-three posts per day is enough to grab the reader’s attention and not make them bored. Also, it is worth noting the time of publication since if you publish posts in the most popular hours, they can be lost in the general flow of other ones.

➤ Depending on the period of your content plan (week or month), you can review the activities planned for the time chosen. While planning and prioritizing, give preference to promotions, competitions, lotteries, new articles and the most engaging content.

You can make individual columns in the table for each item like “Date”, “Time”, “Theme”, “Idea”, “Notes”, “Statistics” (likes, reposts, comments and conversations). Summing up the outcomes of your publications will allow defining which of them are successful and the most demandable among readers.

➤ Do not forget to check out your texts for grammar and spelling mistakes. Feel free to use Grammarly, a useful tool for detecting critical issues in your content. It helps to find out grammar, spelling mistakes and awkward sentences.

➤ In addition to correct writing, it is necessary to use the appropriate format for your content that will make it clear and easy to understand. The tools like Hemingway Editor assess the readability of your text and highlight adverbs, passive voice, and dull, complicated words. This is an excellent web application for learning how to write effectively.
