🎉 🎉Arkitekt is here!🎉 🎉

Looking back at 2018, we understand how many events took place and how quickly the time passed, especially, if we are constantly in the center of the working process.
At the beginning of 2019, we have finally released a BETA version of our new product Arkitekt.io, a platform for creating websites.

Milestone & Appreciations 😻

This is a great milestone for us, both for the company and the team.
We see this only as the beginning, the foundation for future development,
and we believe that all our achievements are ahead.
Similarly to all other big projects, it was quite an intensive work with victories and defeats, lessons and mistakes, where each team member involved in the project creation has gained a huge experience, proved himself, put his part in the realization of our major goal that is web democratization.

Despite all the difficulties, I am really proud of all my team since such complicated projects frequently involve much more people, however, with the efforts of our small community, we managed to give it birth. Thank you, everyone involved and who worked on it. You are incredible!

The Beginning🌱🌱

Hence, let me look back at two years ago and unhide a small story about how the idea of Arkitekt.io creation was born. In 2016, we succeeded for the first time in the release of our original product ArtistEcard, a web platform which automates and facilitates design process of the electronic press kit, mobile application, video promotion, digital distribution, and helps artists to focus on the thing that is really important, making music. Working towards it, we have realized that not only musicians need easily create their professional online image but also other experts, professionals and creative people who work in many other different fields.
Since that time, we have set a clear mission for ourselves to democratize web and make design accessible for everyone by developing a tool that will allow creating something unique for each person, something that everyone can easily use to improve their lives.
And the first Beta of our product appeared two years after the birth of the idea, the infinite number of concepts, layouts, thoughts, communication with potential clients, testing of different approaches and hard work, which reminded us our initial view of the modern platform for creating your own, unique web space.
The desire to create a really massive product from scratch requires knowledge and experience that we thought we had. However, actually, there are various pitfalls that do not allow you to safely follow the set plan.

Roadblocksâ›”

We were pleased with the progress, but we knew that we hadn’t reached the point of true satisfaction and fulfillment of our original goal yet since not all of our decisions were successful.
The platform worked, however, it wasn’t ready for scaling due to the issues with architecture and too long loading time. No one likes long loading time and complicated systems. Our goal is to make a perfect design and professional online image accessible for everyone in order to create the best product in the world and this aim cannot be reached without proper architecture.

Consequently, we have realized that we have to look deeply at our problems and challenges if we are intended to develop the best product.
To be clear, the fixing work wasn’t simple. It implied rethinking of infrastructure, processes and priorities of data loading. In addition to this, we worked towards the improvement of user experience and new features.

Solution and Moving Forward 🙌 🚀

So, within the next two months, December and January, we made a huge analysis that assisted in detecting a large number of processes that we optimized. As a result, we prevented the performance of useless processes and reduced the loading time by 70%. Moreover, the total loading speed of sites and photos has decreased twice. It’s a stunning result for a fairly short time. However, thanks to the feedback from our users, we questioned some of our interface decisions and concepts, rethinking them for a more intuitive experience of adding and editing site content and styles.
All improvements mentioned above will be officially published as quickly as possible in February to provide our users with new options and speeds.

Arkitekt.io has evolved and made a huge step ahead thanks to the efforts of our team and user experience. Meanwhile, there appeared a lot of new large-scale ideas about how to move the process to the next stage. Therefore, it’s obviously only a starting point. We have incredibly many more interesting ideas and plenty of new features that will appear in the future.
