Feedzai amongst most promising AI companies

Feedzai, a data science company that uses machine learning to fight financial crime in real time, was named and ranked 15th on the Forbes AI 50 list that includes the most promising Artificial Intelligence [AI] companies.

The Forbes ranking aims to find the best teams working with machine learning, natural language processing or computer vision. Companies had to show these techniques were completely dominated and a core part of their business model and future success. Forbes’ take is that AI must be used with meaningful impact on sight, and that only companies that show sizeable business potential and social impact have a promising future.

The business, run by CEO Nuno Sebastião and his co-founders Paulo Marques and Pedro Bizarro, was also the best placed in its category: fighting fraud and money laundering. This is not its first appearance on a Forbes ranking. Last year, Feedzai was also named one of the most promising fintech startups in Europe.
