John John Preskill’s Quantum Computing Article
Link to recently published article by renowned physicist John Preskill. There’s even a poem in the text!
A curiosity. Preskill won Stephen Hawking, in a bet on black holes.
Hawking thought that information was destroyed, inside a black hole — violating the law of conservation of energy. Preskill, on the other hand, thought the information held. They made the bet in 1997.
In 2004, Hawking changed his mind, and acknowledged Preskill’s victory.
