When we talk about Quantum computers, we are in the NISQ era — Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum
It means small and faulty circuits.
The BCG report here (https://www.bcg.com/publications/2019/quantum-computers-create-value-when.aspx) distinguishes the following “Quantum eras”: NISQ, Broad quantum advantage and full-scale fault tolerance.
Current technology is fastly evolving toward more elaborate quantum computers, as the just published IBM roadmap shows: a 1000 qubit computer in 3 years!
