“I’d like to thank you all for coming tonight, it’s our joint effort like this that makes Chicago a more important voice in the blockchain space.”

The crypto and blockchain world will no longer be in in a silo as it used to be during the cyberpunk era. Blockchain is an amazing technology. But is not the goal, but always a means to an end.

Currently, only less than 1% of the data is being utilized or shared due to the lack of a secure waynto monetize these humongous amount of data.

“What we do at ARPA is not only trying to bring blockchain to mass-adoption by offering unprecedented private smart contract, but also to use privacy-preserving blockchain and the power of ARPA computation network as a tool to unlock the potential power of data in this digital era.”

“We are extremely proud and humbled by the talents that are working with us. We currently have an 11 core full-time team, all quitting their high-paying jobs in the United States, Japan, and France, working full-time in Beijing, 12–15 hours a day, 6 days a week.

We are also partnering up with the best scholars in the field, along with a strong engineering team consisting of ex-Googlers, blockchain experts, and hedge fund system architects. That’s why we are so confident that we are going to deliver.”

In terms of the progress, APRA already has the Proof of Concept (POC) and is expecting to launch testnet in early 2019.
