Meet our newest student — Cami!

What were you doing prior to Array, Cami?

I was a Bookseller at Barnes and Noble for 4 years and attended LCCC as well. I heard about Array through my mom, an art teacher, told me about it after Lindsey Stutheit visited her class and demonstrated what Array was about.

After learning about Array, what made you interested in attending?

After looking over the website and discovering design was involved I became increasingly intrigued.

Deciding to come to Array is a fairly life-changing decision. Tell us a little about what ultimately made you decide to attend.

At first I was hesitant because I had no prior knowledge and thought it would hold me back, but after taking the HTML and CSS sections and realizing I could do this I decided I should take this opportunity now rather than later!

Are you joining us with any prior experience in computer programming or design?

Though I have some knowledge of design, I’m definitely a newbie to all of this.

What would you say you are most excited about?

I’m definitely excited about the design aspect and challenging myself with something new.

Let’s fast forward one-year. What do you hope you will be doing?

I would like to start off at a tech company to further my skills and knowledge, but ideally I would really love to freelance and create websites for individuals.

Tell us a little more about yourself — hobbies or fun facts?

I’m a massive reader and movie fanatic, but I also love to travel with my latest trip being to Czechia, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. I’ve also become a huge fan of podcasts and am open to all suggestions anyone might have!

How are you feeling prior to starting at Array?

I’m just super excited to get started and to learn all I can from Array!
