Meet our newest student — Jesse!

What were you doing prior to Array, Jesse?

Prior to Array I was a mind and body specialist, specifically within the realm of wellness. I heard about Array from a friend.

After learning about Array, what made you interested in attending?

I became interested in attending Array once I learned how vast the opportunities are in the technology field. Also, the realization that I could create something that would would enable be to share my passions with the entire world.

Deciding to come to Array is a fairly life-changing decision. Tell us a little about what ultimately made you decide to attend.

My decision to attend Array was ultimately based off of a feeling. It felt right. It felt exciting. It felt limitless. It felt like surrender.

There was a lot of needed trust and unknown variables. When I made the decision I thought to myself, “this is what happens in the absence of fear”.

Are you joining us with any prior experience in computer programming or design?

No. It’s going to be a magic carpet ride.

What would you say you are most excited about?

I’m most excited for the opportunity to be creative on a daily basis, and to challenge myself in new ways.

Let’s fast forward one-year. What do you hope you will be doing?

My ideal job is starting a company (online learning platform) that makes wellness education easy to understand and accessible to anyone.

For the last 10 years I’ve been in the health and wellness field and it’s significantly impacted my life and those around me. I want to create engaging, innovative content that inspires people to live vibrantly.

Tell us a little more about yourself — hobbies or fun facts?

I’m passionate about music and food. Not creating music, but moving to it, and listening to it; letting myself be enveloped by the story the musician wanted to tell. Not eating food — although I enjoy that too — but more specifically culinary arts combined with nutrition. Creating recipes that will nourish me and those who replicate them in their kitchen is very fulfilling.
I also enjoy yoga, reading, laying in the sun, collecting art, and home improvement.

How are you feeling prior to starting at Array?

I’m excited to learn, to think in new ways, to build new friendships, and to expand my horizon.

Apply to Array!
