If we all could make our passion a profession, we wouldn't work a day.
Making art your career choice has always been a pretty brave decision, but not anymore — in the age of digital art, the world needs digital artists of all skills. And 3D art academy Art Heroes is launching its' first flagship course on stylized characters creation to help more aspiring digital artists to learn the systems, skills and tools to become more job-ready.
What do Art Heroes do differently?
Art Heroes is all about 3D Art and its' first courses are focused on character creation. From stylized characters for cartoons, games and advertising, Art Heroes is looking at launching the next program on likeness — or creation of hyper-realistic characters — early in 2020.
The main focus of the Academy is not only to teach skills, but to provide strategy and systems that can be applied to any 3D project, and to make alumni better fit for the current 3D art job market.
The first program — Stylized Characters in Zbrush
Art Heroes' first intake launches in September 2019, and the students will be learning the fundamentals of character creation. The program takes 8 weeks to complete, has weekly assignments, mentoring calls and a final project.
By the end of the program, all the students will have a finished portfolio piece: a posed and a well-presented character.
Made by artists, for artists
Art Heroes co-founder and art director Marlon Nunez has been working in the 3D art industry for over 12 years. Marlon won one of the most prominent contests for 3D artists — Zbrush live sculpt-off — in 2017, and worked on iconic characters for games and cinematics, like Games of Thrones trailer.
Marlon spent years building systems and processes for more productive character work for himself, and that essentially builds the foundation of Art Heroes approach: it's important to be methodical, even in art.
How to join
