Antigravity
Piece 15 of the “33” illustrated art storybook by Meg Konovska
This is piece No 15 of the “33” watercolour series by Meg Konovska (*khu-khum*, that would be… ME!).
The series consists of 33 paintings, 33 x 33 cm each. They are all created in the following manner:
• Randomly make 33 dots on the blank sheet, with eyes closed
• Connect the dots in a complete contour, without intersecting lines
• The resulting silhouette is developed in a sketch which is completed in colour.
To top it off, each painting is accompanied by an explanation for the unsuspecting observer to consider.
I now give you
Antigravity (sold out)
This is a Dwarf trying out a new pair of hi-tech antigravity trousers. Due to the antigravity thread weaved into the fabrics, these trousers are not only extremely fine and soft to the touch but they also neutralize the gravity force. Thus, they have the quality of preserving their shape even in moments when you are positioned upside down.
In the illustration the Dwarf has taken an elbow stand, waiting for the model observations to be made. These are still the first phases of development so some wrinkles are noticed. However, they are completely ignorable when taking into consideration the overall shape stability.
This is also evidence that the Dwarf textile technologists are on the right path and that they had thoroughly deservingly won the high achievements awards at the Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design*.
