Archangel Michael and the Dragon
Piece 21 of the “33” illustrated art storybook by Meg Konovska
This is piece No 21 of the “33” watercolour series by Meg Konovska (*khu-khum*, that would be… ME!).
The series consists of 33 paintings, 33 x 33 cm each. They are all created in the following manner:
• Randomly make 33 dots on the blank sheet, with eyes closed
• Connect the dots in a complete contour, without intersecting lines
• The resulting silhouette is developed in a sketch which is completed in colour.
To top it off, each painting is accompanied by an explanation for the unsuspecting observer to consider.
I now give you
Archangel Michael and the Dragon (available)
The image depicts Archangel Michael armed with a sword in a virtual dragon fight training.
The fire breathing dragon is nothing but a ultra realistic interactive hologram designed to perfect the sword fighting skills of the Angels’ and Archangels’ armies. This is one of the many methods for physical tempering and original fitness workouts.
Here is illustrated the basic level of the workout, normally used as a warm-up. Upper levels include fire and brimstone, boiling tar, increasing the number of heads through regeneration of chopped off heads in a geometric progression (the degree of progression can be regulated), wings of the dragon, as well as different constant and dynamic hologram sizes.
One can also set up the simulation environment. Here Archangel Michael has chosen the Dragon’s Lair.
