As the days grow shorter and the nights grow colder, the holidays come ever closer in our sights. From Thanksgiving to Friendsgiving, we celebrate the festivities with good cheer, good friends, and of course, good food and drink. So where does one begin with wine pairings?

It’s true, no two wines are exactly alike; the same is true for holiday celebrations. Traditional Thanksgiving celebrations serving classic turkey, stuffing, and sweet potatoes will call for the tried and true pinot noir. Appealing to both white wine and red wine lovers alike, this light yet rich wine packs a punch when paired with the right meals. However, for the unorthodox celebrations, wines off the beaten track can make a big impression. Vegetarian and vegan celebrations may benefit from a soft yet crisp chardonnay, to compliment seafood dishes and fresh salads. Even dessert wines to compliment cookies and pies adds the cherry on top to a party winding down.

Wherever and however you celebrate the holidays, there is a wine pairing out there for every occasion from sparkling to rosé. Take a look at this infographic for more detail on holiday wine pairings and how to make any wine work for your celebration.
