“Taking complete ownership of your outcomes by holding no one but yourself responsible for them is the most powerful thing you can do to drive your success.” -Gary keller

Most people are not taking complete ownership for the outcomes of their life.

Instead, they’re standing around with their fingers crossed hoping they’ll arrive a “good destination” when they’re not even headed in the right direction.

They say, “Well maybe the wind will take me.” Of course, that’s a possibility, but it’s highly unlikely and why leave it to chance?

If you want to live an extraordinary life you must take complete ownership and hold no one but yourself responsible for the outcomes of your life.

Design Your Own Life or Someone Else Will

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” -Jim Rohn

Most people have no goals, no purpose, and all the wrong priorities.

There are no intentions behind their everyday actions. They have no idea where they’re going but they just hope it’ll better than what they currently have.

I can tell you it won’t be.

If you don’t deliberately plan out the destinations for your life you can guarantee you’ll get pulled down the path of everyone else, and they’re heading in a direction of achieving not very much.

In the words of David Schwartz:

“All around you is an environment that is trying to pull you down to Second-Class street.”

You don’t want to be on street. So, how do you get away from it?

I think a real good place to start, and everyone who wants to live a better life should be asking themselves these 3 questions:

  1. What is my purpose? What is the direction I want for my life?
  2. What are my priorities? What are the actions that I must perform to get me the life I want?
  3. Am I performing those actions and heading in a direction that I want to go?

While seemingly simple questions, they are incredibly effective.

See, when you start to align your purpose with your everyday actions you get clarity to decisions, your choices become easier and you begin to have more conviction in your direction.

I know I’d hate to see the person I’d have become if hadn’t begun to take ownership and been deliberate about aligning my decisions to the person I want to become.

I certainly wouldn’t be writing this right now, you wouldn’t be reading it.

Design your own life before someone else does.

Everything You Want in Life Starts with You

“Put yourself together, and your world falls into place.”-Gary Keller

Most people, when they want something aren’t willing to take ownership of themselves to get it.

They wait for “the perfect moment”, they look for the shortcuts; the tips, the tricks, and the secrets to getting all the things they want.

But there is no perfect moment, and there is tips, tricks or secrets to getting everything you want in life.

No else is going to take responsibility for the outcomes of your life for you and no one else is going to care more about your life than you.

So, you must start with you.

If you want more, you must become more. If you want to have the best things in life, you must become the type of person who is capable of having those things.

If you want a million dollars, you must develop a million-dollar mindset. You need to equip yourself with the knowledge and discipline that will get you that sort of money.

If you want to have the partner of your dreams you need to be the version of yourself that that sort of person would want to be with, and you must live a life they would want to be part of.

No one’s going to hand you these things and there are no tips or tricks to getting them. You must take ownership and go to work on yourself because when you become, you can attract.

In Conclusion

“It is hard to keep that which has not been obtained through personal development.” -Jim Rohn

No one’s going to hand you the life you want.

You must design your own life plan before you fall prey to someone else’s and you must realize everything you want in life starts with you.

Start with yourself. Strengthen the individual. Expand your mind and become the person you want to be to live the life you want to live.
