And Still Getting Paid for it

The freelance job market is a common place for millennials to find not just some extra cash to pay for bills, but often times, their passion or calling. There is yet another way to make even more money through freelance work: teaching others.

Now more than ever, we are connected with each other across vast distances and cultures through social media, opening the door to sharing knowledge, teaching others while still holding a full-time job, and practicing something you love. Knowledge commerce is part of the larger e-Learning market, which is expected to be valued at $241 billion in 2022.

To become a knowledge merchant, there are just a few steps. First, decide what you would like to teach others. Maybe you are passionate about music or philosophy, or want to share a new recipe, or are curious to see if people would be interested in your woodworking. Believe it or not, there is someone out there willing to pay for your expertise. Then, you create products, social pages, and regular posts with your own personal brand behind it. Through advertising and affiliate marketing, you can quickly turn an old hobby into a nice passive income.
