Twitter is one of the greatest places to connect with people

If you told me a few years ago that I would meet some great artists, entrepreneurs, writers and influencers on Twitter just by joining a conversation, I would have not believed you one bit.

I never liked Twitter that much, mainly because I used my social media accounts to interact with my real life friends, which meant that I didn’t post content with the idea of growing the account, I was posting just to have fun with friends.

I always tried to give Twitter a chance since some of my friends were there but I never got hooked. I’d use it for a little while then forget about it entirely and uninstall it.

Two months ago I challenged myself to use Twitter more and try to interact to as many people I could since I want to have a good social media presence in the big platforms.

So that is what I did! I started joining conversations on things that interested me and I got hooked for the first time!

The amount of amazing people I have talked to in that platform is astonishing! I managed to talk a bit with Gary Vaynerchuk, with the people he works with, like DRock and a lot more!

Recently I joined a little segment on Twitter called #Pubchat, where Nicole Akers makes some questions to the guest and all that are in the conversation get to interact.

I got to meet none other than Tom Kuegler which you should know by now and it was a really cool experience!

I had blast on that Pubchat and I hope to see more of it soon! Kudos to you Nicole Akers!

I would have missed these great opportunities to meet amazing people if I wasn’t using Twitter right now.

The lesson of this article is this:

Never underestimate the power of social media when used to connect with other people.

If you are like me a few years ago then give Twitter a try and give it a chance, you never know who you can connect with!

Much love to every single one of you!
