Will my job as a marketer be swallowed by AI?Most definitely it should be, Im as inefficient as an IC engine and makes irrational decisions from time to time

Talking about irrational decisions, buying most consumer products are irrational decisions by the user. A rational decision making AI assistant would never recommend you buy that new iphone and it would not tell you to buy that ticket, take that ride. Those are irrational choices prompted by the stories that the brand sells/peer pressure/combination of both and a lot else ( This is way too simplistic an explanation, to understand how irrational we are perhaps read Daniel Kanheman’s Thinking fast and slow or Daniel Pink’s Drive).

Most tasks that need interaction with humans will need to take human irrationality into consideration. This would range from dealing with a drunk passenger in a cab to making a decision to invest in a startup. Can an AI understand human irrationality and use it to deal with such scenarios/take advantage of irrationality to sell a product? it definitely can, that would make it devious and it would imply that someone like Google can dictate what products I buy, how much money I spend. Classic monopoly.

Also, by learning about human irrationality, it is certainly plausible that the AI would pick some unorthodox world views of its creator and its user, that would just make it as fallible as humans would it not?

AI would still take my job though, be as fallible as I am, perhaps make more irrational decisions than me because its too damn efficient.
