I am the Blacksmith (and the Horseshoe:)
In forging a path through healing, I write to gain the strength to …
… be the blacksmith and forge the shoes to walk solidly into the light /
heating, hammering and bending the shoes
so they fit better for the journey forward
… be the horseshoe
and turn open-side up
to catch the warm rays of the sun, the good stuff in life
… try to make a shitty situation a bit better
with a determined voice and kind words
(and even to be that lion who roars, if needed, on your behalf:)
… be able to create new questions
and trust my own answers…
… be able to grow — to learn
how to not end up being another
ironically tragic story
— Sylvia Platt
… able to flip the bell-jar over
so it is open to alternative truths
… be the light — part of the solution that can help others
In walking through major depression and anxiety, it helps me to write the words that I have written here as part of carving a more empowered path through recovery — even when I can’t be as strong as I want to be all the time.
With our community we have awesome opportunities to engage with others who also benefit from sharing. I give a lot of credit to people such as Daphelba DeBeauvoir who care and share and provide the medium for others to do so as well.
in this life, we strive to
make it real,
with our heartfelt, mindful, soul-blazoned truths,
one step at a time.
