Life Is Beautiful…Despite All The Tears And Storms
The ability to embrace imperfection is priceless
Just like this artwork. You can see that this is not a normally polished piece of artwork. There are cracks and lines and uneven paint. the top parts of the wood panels are not of the same length. The wording is of different fonts and colors. The surface of the panels is rough and uneven.
You may think — what a rough piece of art! Or do you call this an art piece?
To me, it’s a unique and meaningful piece of art.
It tells me what life is.
The different lengths of the wood panels remind me of the ups and downs in life. Nobody’s life would be a linear line all the way up or down. What comes up must go down, and vice versa.
If you were to stay optimistic during tough times and keep working on it, your life will surely take an uptick, eventually. That’s why you can see the curve is on the uptrend at the last piece of the wood.
The many little zigzags at the edge of each piece of wood panels represent the little joys and sorrows we encounter in each trend, either up or down.
The uneven paint on the panels tells me of the rain and shine on different days. Some days are brighter, some days are darker.
The rough surface represents the journey in life. The journey in life won’t be smooth sailing at all times. Some people will have a smoother journey while some will have a rougher journey.
Why is it such an unfairness? It probably can be explained by karma, if you were to see it from the spiritual perspective. Your good deeds will be repaid and your bad deeds will not be forgotten. Your good deeds will let you have a smoother life journey, and vice versa.
The turquoise blue is the sky, and the dark gray is the earth. We humans live in the space between these two great entities. We should respect them and be humble, as we don’t ‘own’ them but merely ‘borrow’ them. They are greater than us all and we humans are so tiny compared to them.
Life IS BEAUTIFUL — the different fonts and colors remind me that we are all different in some way. Be it in race, religion, political belief, etc., but we are all humans and are in one.
This makes the world interesting! We should embrace our differences and celebrate our uniquenesses.
Life is still beautiful despite not having the perfect days all the time. In fact, it could be tough for many of us.
However, if you know how to look at the bright side, turn the negative into positive, magnify the good and minimize the bad, and embrace the imperfection as another form of beauty, you’ll find that there is a rainbow after a storm in every turn of your life!
