Introducing Guided Walkthroughs

Agrilyst is a powerful tool. In the world of software, unfortunately, “powerful” often means “difficult to use.”

Our mission at Agrilyst has always been to provide growers with tools that are both powerful and easy-to-use. We aim to make our features friendly and frictionless, so you can spend less time figuring out the software and more time working with your plants.

To make things even easier, we’re introducing Walkthroughs, a guided tutorial system that will help first-time users and experts alike navigate the powerful features that Agrilyst offers.

We know that learning a new system can be intimidating, especially when you’re logging in for the first time, so we’ve built Walkthroughs to provide some extra guidance in those first few uses.

The first time you log in to Agrilyst, you’ll be greeted by a popup with instructions on how to get started. If you already know what you’re doing, you can dismiss the popup so it won’t bother you again; you can always restart it or get more help by clicking the Tutorial button on any screen that has it.

Our first walkthrough will guide you through the path to creating a Growth Cycle. The Growth Cycles feature is perfect for introducing walkthroughs: it’s crucial to the Agrilyst experience, it’s one of the first features a new grower will encounter, and it’s also a blank slate that can feel overwhelming until you’ve had a primer. The walkthrough makes it easier to understand what’s going on and how you can use Growth Cycles to better manage your facility.

In time, we’ll be adding walkthroughs for more of our features. You’ll see the purple Tutorial button popping up in more places, ready to offer assistance whenever you need it. And of course, as always, you can get quick and personal assistance by reaching out to Agrilyst’s friendly customer support team via the Support button in the lower right-hand corner of every screen. We’re always here to help.
