We stand here for thanks

For the food, the earth has given us

in the time of harvest

And joy for the coming year

We stand here for remembrance

A time of thanks

for those who we hold dear

We stand here for respect

thankful for those who serve

keep us safe and free

you can be you, I can be me

We stand here for love

for love to have and love to share

thankful for this gift

and the feelings that we have
