This article will focus on how to use ArthSwap, how to connect the Astar Network with MetaMask, how to transfer tokens from Ethereum Mainnet to Astar Network.

Step 1.Add Astar Network to your Metamask
- Install MetaMask to your Chrome browser.
note: when using Metamask, please access it from a PC.
ArthSwap is compatible with smartphones, but its behavior may cause problems and it is not supported. Access from a PC is always recommended!
2. Goto ArthSwap page and click on the fox to open up the MetaMask extension
3. Go to the available networks, and click the below button!
Then you can see “add network” at the bottom of the app, like this!
Click “Add Network”,and add these information!
- Network Name : Astar Network
- New RPC URL : https://rpc.astar.network:8545
- Chain ID : 592
- Currency Symbol : ASTR
- Block Explorer URL : https://blockscout.com/astar
Now, your MetaMask wallet is ready to be used in the Astar Network!
So let’s connect Astar Network from your Metamask.
Please click the “Connect” button at the top of the page.
If you see your address at the top of the page,it succeeded!
Step2. transfer your tokens to Astar Network
We have adopted cBridge as the bridge between Ethereum and Astar Network, and have partnered with them!
Now you can use Astar Network in Metamask. Then let’s bridge your tokens from Ethereum to Astar Network via cBridge!
1. Click the “Bridge” button at the top of the ArthSwap page.
2. You can see cBridge top page, so please connect your wallet and enter your token like the below image!
note: The tokens that we currently support in the Ethereum network are wETH, wBTC, USDT, and USDC.
We strongly recommend you convert to these tokens!
Then you can enter the amount you want to transfer, and enter the “Transfer” button.
Appendix. Do you have ASTR tokens?
Do you ever hold an ASTR token?
If you’ve participated in Polkadot’s crowdloan or traded ASTR on CEX, you already have. Then you can skip this part!
But “I want to use ArthSwap for the first time, but I don’t have ASTR and can’t pay for Gas…” You! There is a great way to do it.
There is a better way, and that is to use the official ASTR Faucet!
The Astar token actually has two addresses, a standard client for polkadot called polkadot.js, which manages the EVM and Astar Network addresses.
If you don’t have polkadot.js yet, please install it from here so that we can prepare the Gas money needed for Bridge&Swap in ArthSwap!
Here’s appendix for users who doesn’t have ASTR tokens!
- Go Astar Portal and connect to your Polkadot.js wallet.
2.Switch to Astar Network, and click “Faucet”!
After a while, you will notice that the Astar Portal is distributing Gas Fee!
3. transfer the Gas fee to EVMaddress.
Choose”Transfer” and copy&paste your Astar address in Metamask!
Now you’re ready to get your rewards from ArthSwap, even if you don’t have an ASTR token!
Step3. Let’s earn $ARSW!
So let’s all go out ArthSwap and get rewards for your LP Mining!
- Go to app.arthswap.org
- If your Metamask has disconnected, please switch to Astar Network in Metamask and click the “Connect” button! and don't forget to allow ArthSwap to add a network.
3. Swap your asset.
Enter the amount&token you want to swap, and push “Wrap” button.
note: If you are using ASTR tokens to earn rewards, ArthSwap does not allow you to use your ASTR tokens as they are held on Astar Network, you must convert them to wASTR tokens of the same value as ASTR tokens! For other currency pairs, you only need to pay for the ASTR tokens as the Gas fee, and you will see the simple UI and ease of use!
4. Add Liquidity to receive LP tokens.
Click “Pool” at the top of the page and click “Add Liquidity”.
Select the pair of tokens for which you want to provide LP, and the Amount.
Then press the “Supply” button, and you’re done!
You are done. Your LP tokens have already been supplied, and LP Mining has succeeded! There is no need to do anything further.
You can see which LPs are the most popular and have the highest APY by pressing the “Pool” button in the menu.
