For one weekend, hundreds of artists and designers from Brooklyn’s North open up their studios to the public to showcase work in a wide range of mediums. From paintings, sculptures, film, photography, weaving/textiles, ceramics, and more.

Many of the artists are based in a number of buildings around the neighborhood — the challenge is not only in locating the buildings but also understanding which floor and the studio number is worth checking out. Most of the building were bearing identifying signs.
Some of the artists were presenting finished work, while others demonstrating their process.
Works by an illustrator and animator. On the wall — sketches and storyboards for a recent animation project.
A fascinating old building on 307 Eckford St. hosts a hand-picked selection of local painters and multimedia artists — all working from the stunning second floor of the building sunlit through the massive central window.
