When you listen to the name ‘Arthur Mining’, what comes to your mind?

King Arthur? Merlin, Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table?

Perhaps the name of the founder of Arthur Mining is Arthur?

Well, sorry to say it, but it has nothing to do with it!

Our name is a tribute to Arthur C. Clarke. You may know him as the writer of the story that inspired Stanley Kubrick to produce cinema’s greatest sci-fi masterpiece: 2001: A Space Odyssey.

But in addition to being a reference when we talk about sci-fi, he is a reference when we talk about SCIENCE. Since childhood Arthur has always been interested in astronomy, being able to draw a map of the moon only with a homemade telescope.

In 1945, he presented the principles of satellite communication used in current systems and was responsible for the concept of the geostationary satellite. As a recognition, the geostationary orbit is also known as the Clarke orbit.

Arthur was an impeccable futurist, scientist, writer, inventor, and researcher throughout his life, and today, he is immortalized once again bearing the name of our company.

We are a company based on science, technology, and knowledge. And we inspire ourselves in the wisdom of Arthur.

Clarke once said, “The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.” And we couldn’t agree more.
