ARTIC is a blockchain-based art gallery platform which uses its own NFT ecosystem to tokenize art masterpieces. ARTIC hopes users will reconsider their perception of art in this new application of the blockchain. ARTIC provides both tangible and intangible services that can lead to the exhibition of domestic and foreign works of art, and further encourage the exchange of art around the globe.

Today we will be introducing three members of the ARTIC team! This is an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with the creators of the ARTIC platform. Q1. Please introduce yourself.
A) Hello, I’m Sally Shin, CEO of the ARTIC Project.
Q2. Please explain the ARTIC project.
A) ARTIC is an NFT asset-based art gallery platform that utilizes blockchain technology. We hope that it will lead users to reconsider their perception of what art is. It will provide both tangible and intangible services that will lead to an active exchange of ideas between artists around the world. We will also provide exhibitions for domestic and foreign artwork. In addition, we want customers to be able to purchase art conveniently at a reasonable price. To that end, we are continuously designing and developing software and advancing art culture.
Q3) What are some problems in the art market?
A) The art market continues to show growth. However, at the same time, there are many problems. First of all, the involvement of brokers in the art trade resulted in a large number of fees. This is why artists do not receive sufficient compensation. In addition, the process for registering works of art is insufficient and there has been no association for protecting intellectual property rights. Due to this, there have been many debates over whether a work of art is a forgery or not, and the authenticity of various works of art has been called into question. This is why “provenance” is so important, but it’s not always easy to confirm. In the case of digital art, which is attracting increasing attention from the market, illegal transactions continue to be problematic. Digital art is hard to protect because it is very easy to share without permission or replicate, copyright is not properly recognized, and there is just a general lack of awareness about the legality of digital art.

A) Hi there, I’m Min Kim, CTO of the ARTIC Project.
Q2) Please introduce the ARTIC team.
A) The ARTIC team consists of veteran IT developers, art consultants, and design experts with an average of 20 years of experience. Intelligent art platform Gallery 360 will participate as a key partner. Together, the ARTIC team wants to solve problems related to copyright, forgery, and provenance. These are chronic obstacles that hinder the growth of the art market, and we hope to solve them with blockchain technology. This is how we hope to develop and grow the art market.
Q3) What are your plans for the ARTIC project?
A) Currently, we have six Korean patents, two technology patents, and four overseas PCTs. We have made partnerships with New York City’s Chelsea K&P Gallery, the global company Archidraw, Inc., China’s VR CORE, and Amazon. These partnerships have given us a foothold in the global market. ARTIC wants to build an ecosystem for platform participants to faithfully perform their roles, and create a system for participants to receive additional activity rewards. ARTIC will also carry out an innovative “Value Chain” project that will transform the ecosystem of the art industry based on blockchain technology. You’ll have to follow us to find out more!

A) Pleased to meet you, I’m Soyeon Kim, ARTIC’s Project Developer.
Q2) Please explain the ARTIC platform.
A) The ARTIC platform consists of an NFT Marketplace, a VR Gallery, and an AI Center. The NFT Marketplace is a place for the art trading ecosystem. It is a space where various works of art, which require ownership protection, can be produced or commissioned by consumers and traded. The VR Gallery is a digital art gallery. It is a space where anyone can display, appreciate, or sell artwork in a virtual space regardless of time or place. Consumers who have difficulty visiting offline galleries can visit and even purchase art via our virtual galleries. The AI Center uses artificial intelligence to recommend works of art based on the user’s personal preferences. It also provides a service to find art that will fit where you want to put it. Further, you can create your own works of art together with AI Paint or ask experts to produce art for you. It can be used on various devices such as HMD as well as PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
Q3) Lastly, please explain Gallery 360.
A) Gallery 360 is based on IT and connects works of art, consumers, and creators. It supports artists’ creative work by revolutionizing art culture. The VR Gallery’s rental service will be the answer to exhibition culture in the post-Corona era. Through this, anyone can become a planner and share ideas. There is also an option to support new artists’ creative activities. Gallery 360 provides a personal, online portfolio for artists, and mediates and promotes the sale of original art and digital images. It also provides styling services such as, “Display your work in your space!” which allows you to take pictures of the places you want to display your work and see the size and color before you buy.
