Last night OnePlus finally told the world all about the OnePlus2. They decided to do this via a VR presentation which was a little lack luster. As for the phone, damn! It has every feature we asked for, minus one or two things we expected. When well it launch though, and for how much?

So the presentation, yeah, that’s pretty much it. It was in VR yes, the first VR presentation, but it was to shaky to watch in VR. I personally opted to watch it on YouTube because I would have thrown up before the presentation was over. The OnePlus2 is jammed full of features! It has a Snapdragon 810, a 3300mah battery, 4gb of ram, a dual 4g SIM card system, a 13mp camera, a 1080p screen, USB-C connector, and that design! What is lacking that we expected is NFC, fast charging, and wireless charging. The fast charging and wireless charging is not a big deal, but no NFC, that’s been a standard on Android phones for years. This baby is going to be rolled out with an invite system of course. If you are lucky enough to get one off of the bat, you can expect it in your pocket by the 11th of August. The price, one plus did not announce the price at all during the entire presentation, instead they waited for the embargo to lift at 11pm. The OnePlus2 will launch in the U.S., Canada, and India initially in the 64gb version only for $389!

I have to talk about that design for a second here. The OnePlus2 will come in its signature sandstone black color and offer “StyleSwap” rear covers. The body is made up of aluminum and magnesium to make a sleek durable body. They have added a fingerprint reader to the front, but unlike the iPhone and S6 which have physical button on the front, the OnePlus2 will have a capacitive button. One plus has taken a play out of Apple’s book and added a profile switch on the side. This switch switch is more advanced though; you can switch between all, priority, and no notifications with just a flick of the switch.

Yes, I am excited. Should I be excited, not really. We knew almost every speck and feature available, so the minimal additions aren’t shocking. I am still excited though, flagship specs and build for half the price, done, sold! I will be getting one of these as soon as I get my late invite, until then I will be bring you any information that I find out about the ordering system.
